SNOW LAUGHING MATTER

Well this is round #7 according to the weather-people.  This was only a couple of inches but it has made the roads treacherous to the point I called in work today (which I never do).  Regardless I am continuing to see signs of spring even in the snow which I'll show you in a bit.  I am waiting with "baited breath" for Sunday through next week...50s then 60s!  Now that's what we are used to here in my area in February.  That will be the green light for so many things to grow and bloom.  Here are today's discoveries:

WINTER HONEYSUCKLE BLOOMING BRAVELY

I SEE COLOR ON MY LENTEN ROSE!




HEY!  WHO TURNED OUT THE LIGHTS?
I'm looking forward to March 1.  It's like my oasis in the desert, my checkered flag so to speak, an ending and a beginning.

    You know, I don't believe my winter honeysuckle has bloomed yet, which is very unusual. I guess it has just been too cold.

    You've got some nice surprises there in your garden! We've been exceptionally cold here too and looking forward to highs in the 70's this weekend!!

    Winter just gets maddening doesn't it!! But I still think I prefer to have 4 seasons too. I love the winter honeysuckle. .I didn't know there was such a thing!! Think Spring!!

    Ooohh...Lenten Rose...I got one of those at the last swap. I may have to venture out and see if it's doing anything. :D

    I am feeling like you - over the winter - bring on the warmer temps. They are calling for temps hovering around 60 this weekend - I hope my plants don't start coming out and get an unwelcomed surprise like 1993 brought us. The blizzard happened in mid-March...so I am little anxious about my plants this year. :(
