Last but not least an asiatic lily that has bloomed for the first time. This was a Big Lots find believe it or not!
Quote
Soft moss a downy pillow makes, and green leaves spread a tent,
Where faerie fold may rest and sleep until their night is spent.
The bluebird sings a lullaby, the firefly gives a light,
The twinkling stars are candles bright, Sleep, Faeries all, Goodnight.

Day Tripper
Yes, I am a Beatles Fan! My daylilies are cranking up and filling in the holes left by the irises. I don't know the names of my daylilies. I have a few id tags (somewhere) but most were given by friends, obtained through plant swaps or from one of my favorite places in Florence-- Rabbit's daylily patch.

I really like the header and how your garden nestles in! The first daylily is particularly beautiful! Is that an oriental lily or do you think possibly an asiatic... I don't know that I am familiar with any orientals in the yellow tones, but I could be wrong... Larry
ReplyDeleteHey, Jennifer, Your daylilies are beautiful! I think I need to find some more to add to my garden! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm really enjoying your blog & your pictures are stunning. I used to do flowers, but this year am into square foot gardening & veggies. I particularly enjoyed your daylilies since I moved mine late in the season & not all of them have bloomed. I live in Birchwood, TN, close to Chattanooga.
